I am an experienced computer geek, but new to Unix. I bought it to help me understand what I was getting into in setting up a Linux/Apache server. I have worked with many operating systems over the years, but somehow had missed Linux. The great thing about it is that I believe it would do the same thing for someone without a lot of systems background. My colleague recommended this package as a good place to start. I have been exposed to some of Linux's basic concepts and terminology, and now I can run basic commands and programs, and I have an understanding of how Linux has been and is being developed. No matter what background you have this package will get you started in a jiffy.
