Overall satisfaction July 29, 2010 Ed I had no issues with the seller. Product arrived very quickly and in excellent condition.
Waste of money July 15, 2010 Becky Unfortunately I discovered too late that I recieved a bad product. I ordered this battery so that I would have two for my Sony digital camera. The first time I used it everything seemed to work fine. Then when I fully recharged the battery it would lose it's charge within a short amount of time. The camera I have indicates how much battery time is left on the battery and with the battery I received it jumps all over the place. It will indicate it is fully charged (120 minutes) when I first put it in, but then after just a few pictures or minutes of use it will be down to less then 30 minutes. Then the next time I turn it on it might say there are 75 minutes left and then jump down to 20 minutes. Either way the battery life is always very minimal. It also loses it's battery life when it isn't in use. I didn't realize that I had received a bad battery until several months had passed and I no longer had the info to try and get my money back or get a new one. So if you need to buy this product I would strongly caution you to try it out right away and make sure that it is functioning properly so you don't throw money down the toilet like I did.
Misleading!! June 27, 2010 Lotus Blossom (SOUTH PASADENA, CA, US) "Fits SON.NP-BG1" is not authentic Sony brand. The photo is misleading and different from the product I received in the mail. The battery is SON.NP-BG1 instead of SONY. It is not "by Sony" like it stated in the description. The vendor is not honest about both the description of the product and the photogragh. "The seller has clearly misrepresented the condition or details of an item in a way that affects its value or utility, it is "materially different." I requested a full refund. I am glad that I bought this on Amazon or I would not be able to get my money back.
Bad luck? Was only good for ONE charge June 25, 2010 Bruce in Calif I know there are less expensive batteries that I could have purchased instead of the Sony brand NP-BG1. But I stayed with the name brand, Sony, after all, quality quality quality, right? After using the new battery through ONE charge, after the power was gone I put it into the Sony re-charger, inserted properly for certain. After checking up on the battery later, I noticed the charger was flashing a yellow light. I did not know what that meant, but I can tell you this. I was not able to re-charge the battery! I tried again, same flashing yellow light. I could not find anything on the web about this problem. Defective battery? A waste of money, for sure in this case :(
By the way, I bought another battery, it charged and re-charged just fine.
Works perfectly June 24, 2010 Sarah Oakes I have a battery and the charger broke. This item was perfect, I have to flip my existing battery upside down to charge it, but it works!
