| Customer Reviews:
diNovo Edge is the best desktop keyboard ever October 24, 2008 I now own three of these keyboards (all PC versions not the MAC version - who is willing to pay the fruit tax for something like this). One I use on my mac mini hooked up to my entertainment center. The other two I use on desktops, one of which is a mac book pro docked 1/2 the time. I really like how the keys feel when typing and the built in volume control is handy. The mouse pad is not as useful on the desktops as I have a real mouse but on the mac mini hooked to the entertainment center its perfect. I also don't use the num-pad on the right of most extended keyboards and prefer to have a smaller "hacker-ish" keyboard. This keyboard is a space saver and complements your work area nicely.
Buggy October 21, 2008 In a word this item is "buggy" and I gave up trying to figure it out. The connection gets dropped and buffers all key stroked and issues all the strokes when the connection is regained. I gave up and bought from the same brand but different item.
Great Key Response October 16, 2008 The DiNovo Edge is extremely similar to typing on a laptop keyboard (with great key response). It is very quiet and thin, tucking neatly out of the way in its charging base when necessary. My only inor complaint is its lck of native drivers for 64-bit vista. I have not tried overly-hard, but the assignable keys do not work on my keyboard.
I miss my number pad! Otherwise, I"m pretty happy October 13, 2008 This is a really great keyboard, and it looks slick on my coffee table! The aluminum wrist rest is slightly cold to the touch at first, re-iterating the nice materials used. As far as gadgets go, this is a good one to have.
I got this thing several weeks ago and haven't had to charge it since the day I got it (the manual says 60 days, so we'll see).
As far as keyboards go, here's my take on it: it takes some adjustment if you're used to a full 104-key keyboard. I'm still not quite there yet. The lack of number pad made me realize I won't be able to enter "Alt+#" keystrokes anymore, which I previously did almost daily. The keys do feel pretty nice and it's a solid hunk -- heavier than I expected. It DEFINITELY does NOT feel cheap in any way.
The touchpad kind of sucks. It works in general, but it's pretty small, the left click button (on mine at least) doesn't work very well, the scroll doesn't work that well at all, and occasionally I will find the mouse pointer somewhere else on the screen suddenly because it got confused.
The hotkeys are pretty nice. I was very pleased to find out that they work even when Windows is locked with a password! I was also quite surprised to find that they actually controlled Winamp the very first time I used the keyboard. I'd personally rather have separate buttons for these hotkeys rather than pressing the "Fn" button, but to each his own.
If I had paid the retail price for this, then I wouldn't think it's worth it; however, with a sale price AND a mail-in rebate, it was a pretty sweet deal and I like what I got. If you're willing to spend the money on it and like having high-end things, then this is something you will probably like. HTH :)
Logitech diNovo Edge review October 11, 2008 I have been really happy with my purchase of this wireless keyboard. The operation is second to none. It is easy to use, smaller than any other keyboard that I have seen and nice to look at. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone interested in a wireless keyboard. It is worth every dime. Thanks.
