Crashes Macbook Pro frequently October 7, 2007 14 out of 30 found this review helpful
I have always been happy with Logitech products and had few problems with them.. Until now. The VX Nano causes my Macbook Pro to crash frequently when the radio receiver is plugged in. Without the radio receiver, of course, the mouse doesn't work. I have experimented with the set up to no avail. I am pretty patient, and computer savy; both Windows and Mac. I emailed Logitech tech support (which requires filling out a lengthy form with personal information), it has been over a week and no response. That is what irritates me the most. So, in good faith, I would not recommend this product for Macs. And I would seriously question the integrity of a company that cannot respond to serious flaws in it's products.
Great Mouse October 6, 2007 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Great mouse, I love it that the receiver is a small unit inside the mouse battery slot. This way you can be sure it will not fall. The precision is amazing and the additional buttons works great. It can be even used in the air as a PowerPoint remote. As always another great product from Logitech, the only reason I gave it a 4 is the price.
Perfect Laptop Complement October 5, 2007 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I don't like trackpads...scrolling can be a painfully repetitive maneuver with long documents (up-slide down-up-slide down). This mouse complements my black MacBook well, much more so than Apple's white Mighty Mouse. I have an older optical MX mouse for my desktop and enjoyed its convenience buttons. After the reviews, I bought the VX Nano. Small and portable. "Plug-and-forget" nano receiver; the only one of its kind in the world at this time! User-replaceable batteries. Convenient storage pouch. Laser tracking precision. Scroll wheel has 2 speeds: ultra smooth ultra FAST and ratchet-type. I read some complaints about Logitech's software and Macs, so I didn't even install it. I use Steer Mouse and have the Nano's buttons custom-programmed. Alternatively, one can use this mouse without software (PC or Mac), but you can't customize it. My only 2 issues: 1) The scroll wheel's ultra smooth mode is ULTRA ULTRA free-wheeling...too much that if you forget to lift up your finger fully before moving it to left-click, the wheel will slide and your document will move. D-oh! 2) The internet forward/back buttons are not in a convenient spot at all. They should have been where the thumb rests like Logitech's other mice.
Love this mouse and it's big brother (Logitech MX Revolution)!!! October 3, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
These two mice (Logitech MX Revolution & Logitech VX Nano) have to be the two best purchases I've made in a while. Both mice are customizable until your heart is content. The new setpoint software is excellent. I've had no problems with it all. Set up is flawless and using both mice are pleasurable. They are a must buy IMO!!
