Learning Curve a Bit Much August 31, 2007 Learning curve a bit much. Not a game that one will jump into and master in a few minutes.
Crap Control Even Worst Flow December 29, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This could have been such an awesome game. The camera controls are the worst since Pirates of the Caribbean. I found myself fighting camera angles more then crimals. How did this ever get out of beta?? Sucky game flow and some mega boring missions. Save your money. Wait until this goes into the dollar stores. Then you over paid by 78 cents.
Really not that bad September 10, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
True Crime for Mac is certainly no Grand Theft Auto (by a longshot), but it is a fun and somewhat immersive shooter. The 200-some sq. miles of LA beats the crap out of Vice City's terrain any day. While that camera sucks and there are some seriosu graphics issues, True Crime is worth it for Mac-using fans of the genre.
Over Priced Game! March 22, 2005 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
I don't understand why this game is selling for around $50.00!!! I just bought it and the first 15 minutes were frustrating! My computer is well over the system requirements and it's still choppy! It seems like it's several frames behind even when I take it down to the lowest resolution. The camera is horrible! You have no control over it, and for some reason it goes where it wants to instead of staying behind the character. I was being shot at and I couldn't even see the guy shooting at me, I was running around in circles untill he killed me. I was fighting a guy and the camera was showing a close up of my face the whole time! It wasn't untill after the fight that I realized I wasn't fighting him any more but started beating up a civilian! Also for some reason the graphics keep popping, the roads will flash white as well as some other elements making it hard to judge where I was going and what I was looking at.
This game should be selling it at the most for $20.00. I just read the manufacter review at the top and even they talk about how bad the camera work is. What I don't understand is if they know that it's going to make you so frustrated that you will punch your screen...then why sell it? especially at the price they're asking. I hope either a patch comes out that fixes most of these problems or at least lower the price. It's sad, this game has potetional if they can fix some minor things.
