Norton 360 November 18, 2008 We had not used Norton products in a couple of years. When I saw that this package allowed up to three computers it didn't take much to convince me to try Norton again. So far no problems. The only thing I dislike, which is more of a pain than a problem, is when the antivirus updates you have to reboot. I understand why this is done, it is just a pain to do it.
Norton 360 November 4, 2008 WARNING to anyone thinking about buying this product! Please understand that you will not be buying this product only RENTING it. If you do not renew every year the product stops working....COMPLETELY! I'm not just talking about updates, etc. It actually tells you that it has stopped working and it won't work unless you renew. I have just wasted more than 2 hours with Norton's online tech support. This is the case with ALL Norton products and I am quoting the tech.
360 pulled a 180 on my new computer October 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am ticked off by this pain in my rumpus program that's supposed to make things more seamless! Please don't make me endure one more call to India! The support guys are hopelessly polite, but my problems are NOT resolved! All the prompts that my trial norton was going to expire sold me on paying for this version, but it's robbed my husband of his user profile and completed wiped out his emails and stored files; it's corrupted my Outlook as well numerous times, and I have had this already reinstalled by the Norton support tech himself taking over my computer. There is NO EXCUSE and these bugs should be worked out. Ironic is that HP made this their preferred security software and it's making computing hell for me.
Dud!
Run away! Save yourself while you still can! October 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Norton 360 is an utter disaster. You will lose the ability to right-click, as doing so causes Windows Explorer to crash, every time, if this program is installed.
This was true for me on two separate machines, both less than a year old.

Symantec is taking some seriously flawed turns: (1) Thirty days before my old 360 was due for renewal, I got pop-ups from Symantec several times per day telling me I was X days out from renewal. Your security product is supposed to protect you from pop-ups, not send them. (2) Turns out now subscription is not only for anti-virus updates but for the entire package. (3) Several problems renewing -- different prices and info for the same products on the Symantec Web site and installed update feature; renewal screen said it accepts American Express but offers credit card input format only for Visa/Mastercard; Symantec charges an additional $10 for continued download service, meaning the subscription is only good for a year if you can download it successfully and not need to access the installation again?! (no better explanation is offered); renewal is good for three PCs, but no explanation offered as to how with single download to one PC; overly complex and largely useless customer support. (4) The renewal installation failed and I was forced to uninstall the old version and then start over. Two afternoons wasted. A 360-degree BAD experience.
